UAPD event designed to teach parents, children about safety

The University of Arkansas Police Department is hosting its ninth annual Discovering Safety event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Bud Walton Arena. The event is free.
The community event aims to teach kids safety lessons in a fun environment while reminding parents of the precautions they need to take to protect their family during the summer.
